I am recruiting one PhD student to join my group at Florida State University beginning Spring 2021 or Fall 2022. Admitted graduate students will receive full tuition, stipend, and benefits.
Recent and planned projects in my group include: impact of nonstationary stressors—climate and land use change on hydrology, water quality, and ecology; impact of coastal hazards on urban infrastructure systems and risk and vulnerability assessments; green infrastructure planning and implementation; developing integrated decision support system tools for evaluating urban stormwater management alternatives; and applying smart city technologies to stormwater systems.
Interested candidates for all position may email me with their CV, unofficial transcripts, copy of TOEFL/IELTS scores and a brief statement describing how their interests connect to my research areas. Ideal candidates will have a BS and MS in civil and environmental engineering, agricultural & biological engineering, environmental science, or related field, mathematical programming experience (R, Matlab, or Python), a strong background in statistics, and experience with watershed modeling, and GIS. Machine learning experience is preferred.
